Community Center of St. Bernard Anniversary Celebration – Live Music & Film Screening
Event: Apr 01, 2012
6:00pm - 9:00pm

Please join us for a free film screening of 5 YEARS OF CARING and a live music performance by David Leonard and Roselyn Lionheart!   We’re celebrating the Community Center of St. Bernard’s Anniversary.

French Quarter musicians David Leonard and Roselyn Lionheart will perform live from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. David and Roselyn have been making music and performing together all over the world since 1959, including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, the Smithsonian Institute’s PBS “River of Song” documentary, and at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy.

The music performance will be followed by a 7:15pm screening of 5 YEARS OF CARING, a documentary covering the Community Center’s founding and growth during the post-Katrina recovery period. This award-winning video took 2nd place at the 2011 Pelican d’Or Film Festival and showcases the Center’s struggles and achievements as it worked to assist residents in their return to normalcy.

Admission is free, so tell all of your friends! For more information about the Community Center of St. Bernard visit and follow CCSTB on Facebook.
