“ROCKERS” by Theodoros Bafaloukos
Originally intended to be a documentary, Rockers is a full-length feature film which authentically showcases the culture of reggae music and Rastafarian life in Jamaica, featuring real-life reggae icons like Burning Spear, Gregory Isaacs, Big Youth, Dillinger, and Jacob Miller. Legendary Jamaican drummer Leroy “Horsemouth” Wallace stars in the film as a musician who decides to become a record distributor. When local gangsters rip off his new music venture, his fellow musicians decide to get even, Robin Hood-style. (1978, 100 minutes)
